Anita Pascoe BSc(Hons) OT
Career History
Anita qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1997 at Leicester University.
Initially Anita worked in the field of physical disability before spending time working in a children’s hospital in Romania. Since 2000 she has specialised in the field of Acquired Brain Injury, working both in residential rehab and in the community at a senior level.
Current Work
Alongside case management, Anita works as an independent Occupational Therapist for people with Acquired Brain Injury and also provides clinical supervision to therapists in an ABI unit. She particularly enjoys working with clients who experience cognitive and behaviour difficulties and has a very practical, goal orientated approach.
Key Skills
- Extensive experience of working with clients with minor to severe head injury.
- Training and supervision of support workers.
- Skilled at communicating with both clients and their relatives.
- Wide experience of working with challenging and non-compliant clients.
- Assessment and rehabilitation of cognitive difficulties following acquired brain injury, including so called “hidden injuries”.
- Writing witness statements and being called as a witness of fact and carrying out expert witness work.
- Experience in both private and statutory sectors and a good knowledge of Health and Social Services.
