Cathy Warne BSC(Hons) OT MSc
Career History
Cathy qualified as an occupational therapist in 1996. She commenced her career on a clinical rotation chosen for the emphasis on brain injury and stroke rehabilitation in outpatient and hospital settings. She went on to pursue her associated interest in learning disabilities, becoming head of a London PLD OT department. She has specialised in Paediatrics, with extensive experience working with children with all levels of disability and learning difficulty including complex multiple disabilities. She has experience of working with adults with brain injury in the Regional Rehab Centre and also working with adults with learning disabilities / stroke / brain injury in community rehabilitation.
Current Work
Cathy is currently working as an independent occupational therapist with children with developmental delay, autism, learning disabilities and some complex physical disabilities in school and community settings, carrying out comprehensive assessments and interventions, particularly in the field of Special Educational Needs. She also works for Westcountry Case Management as a case manager.
