Jackie Burt BA(Hons)
Career History
Jackie is a qualified Social Worker and has a wide range of experience in neuro rehab, gained over more than 20 years. She trained at Plymouth University and qualified in 1986. She has experience of working with clients with brain injury both in hospital and community settings.
Current Work
As well as working as a Case manager with WCM, Jackie has worked as a Hospital Social worker for Plymouth City Council for over 20 years. This involves working closely with OT's, Physios, S<'s, Psychologists and Doctors. She has extensive experience of liaising with PCT colleagues over funding and commissioning issues. Jackie has worked with health colleagues to develop various policy protocols regardung drug and alcohol use, and more recently has been participating in the development of Care Pathways for M.S and Community Neuro Rehab.
Jackie is a committee member of BISWG and set up BISWG South West, a forum for professionals working with ABI. She also runs a support group for people living with M.S.
