Janet McClean DipCOT
Past Career History
Janet graduated from the London School of Occupational Therapy in 1976 and gained clinical experience in occupational function/dysfunction and rehabilitation with a wide variety of clients. She also managed domiciliary and mental health services, worked in professional advisory roles and prepared expert witness reports costing rehabilitation and care needs following personal injury. Her work has given her insight and into the significance of occupational balance and skill in the promotion and maintenance of health.
Current Work
Janet has worked as a Case Manager since 2002 primarily with adults with brain injury and/or mental health problems. She also works as an independent Occupational Therapist coaching adults with a variety of needs. Her role includes undertaking assessment, helping clients identify goals and difficulties in everyday roles/occupations/activities, planning and developing appropriate strategies/treatment programmes and working closely with clients to help motivate change.
