Rachel Jenkins BSc(Hons)OT
Career History
Rachel qualified as an occupational therapist in 1994. Rachel initially worked with adults and adolescents with challenging behaviour in a specialist assessment unit. She moved into community work and her area of expertise is working with children with complex learning and physical disabilities. Rachel was lead occupational therapist working in a special school for children with severe learning disabilities. Rachel has extensive experience of working in multi disciplinary teams and liaising with social services and education authorities.
Rachel has successfully completed an intense 8-week training course on the assessment and treatment of children with cerebral palsy and associated neurological conditions.
Current Work
Rachel now works as an independent occupational therapist undertaking case management work for Westcountry Case Management. Rachel also prepares rehabilitation cost reports for claimants and defendants in respect of medico-legal claims. She has a particular interest in the integrating children with disabilities into mainstream schools.
