Stephanie Bassett DipCOT
Career History
Stephanie qualified as an Occupational Therapist from St Loye’s School in 1984. She has extensive clinical experience working with adults with complex physical and psychological disabilities including acquired brain injury, spinal injury, cerebral palsy and amputation. She has worked in a variety of community settings including Social Services as well as voluntary and independent sectors. Her main clinical interests are traumatic brain injury and spinal injury. She has worked as a case manager since 2001 and is an advanced member of BABICM.
Current Work
In addition to working as a case manager for Westcountry Case Management, Stephanie works on a consultancy basis as an independent occupational therapist.

- Expertise in assessing, prescribing and implementing rehabilitation programmes for adults with traumatic brain injury, behavioural and physical disability.
- Preparation of detailed assessment reports.
- Implementation of comprehensive packages of care including recruiting and training of care staff for clients needing 24 hour care.
- Identifying areas of risk and preparing risk assessment and care plans for clients with complex needs.
- Supervisory and management skills as a clinical supervisor responsible for a small team of case managers.
- Experience as an occupational therapist in housing design for disability and assessment for equipment for independent living.
