Tom Woolner BSc(Hons) OT
Career History
Tom qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1998 at St. Loye’s in Exeter and worked in the NHS until May 2006. He specialised in working with those suffering mental health problems and gained experience with all age ranges, with individuals as well as their families/carers. He developed a number of skills along the way including cognitive behavioural therapy, team leading, engaging with those suffering severe and enduring mental health difficulties and drug and alcohol problems.
In early 2005 he expanded his interests and skills and began working with adolescents who had suffered an acquired brain injury. He began brain injury case management work in November 2005 and has developed this role to work with several people across the South West of England and South Wales.Current Work
Tom has experience of writing medico legal reports and associated work having been a rehabilitation cost consultant for Jacqueline Webb & Co. from August 2006 until March 2008. He is now focusing his work on brain injury case management and is currently working with a varied caseload. This includes 1:1 individual work, family work, managing support workers, running rehabilitation programs and multi-agency working.
