Bianca qualified as an occupational therapist in 2004 and since then has primarily worked in adult social care dealing with complex disabilities, neurological conditions, and palliative care. Bianca specialises in setting up and monitoring packages of care for complex cases, moving and handling training, techniques and transitions services.
Bianca focuses on complex case management through her work with WCM and holds a varied caseload including individuals with complex social situations and limiting environments. She uses effective communication skills to build a positive rapport with clients, families and support workers, including dealing with challenging circumstances and is skilled in justifying and reasoning decisions and requests for funding.
Bianca is proficient in completing assessments with adults and young people with physical and learning disabilities, providing holistic, client centred assessments, recommending equipment, home adaptations and grant funding. She is experienced in the provision of supervision and staff development.
Bianca’s extensive knowledge enables her to identify, justify and recommend care and support provision for an individual’s clinical needs and functional abilities and has vast expertise of completing realistic, positive risk assessments.
