Carolina qualified as a physiotherapist in 1992 and has worked across a wide range of clinical fields of practise.
In the last 10 years she has specialised in learning disabilities and autism across health and education services with both children and adults. Carolina has trained in complex postural management and seating, and worked in hydrotherapy services for many years. She has also worked in stroke rehabilitation and palliative care, leading on wellbeing initiatives and outcome measures in the community, both within the NHS and self-employed.
Carolina has good experience in musculoskeletal and GP/outpatient services, and with applying acupuncture. She has worked with whiplash injuries and established a successful integrative practise working with chiropractors.
In addition to working as a case manager for WCM, Carolina also provides domiciliary physiotherapy as part of her private practise focussing on rehabilitation and complex disability with elders and is very experienced in injury rehabilitation fields of practise.
Carolina is a therapeutic mentor for a local CIC working with children, young adults and their families, and has completed specialist work with university students who have mental health problems and/or autism. She has additional qualifications in sensory attachment intervention and managing dyspraxia and dyslexia.
