Dora qualified in 2000 and began her career working in Bridgend Social Services. She has considerable experience of completing full functional assessments of needs, working with families, assessing and monitoring manual handling plans, risk assessments and DFG plans. She works collaboratively with the NHS, local authority services and care providers.
Dora has worked extensively within the NHS and this has enabled her to expand her experience. Prior to leaving the NHS, Dora worked as a senior occupational therapist in the Cardiff and Vale Community Rehabilitation Team (CRT) covering a large geographical area. Her role encompassed both developing the service and also assessing and treating patients with a wide range of physical and neurological conditions.
Dora specialises in neurological and community assessment and rehabilitation. She is proficient in assessment of needs, goals and attainment, aids and equipment, minor and major adaptations and vocational needs assessment and training; her case management work is primarily with adults and children with ABI and complex disability.
Dora enjoys problem-solving and thrives on helping clients overcome the many challenges that they face. She is skilled at working with families and the clinical team and utilises a solution focused approach in her work with clients and families. Dora is competent in diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder.
