Jo Fisher qualified as a physiotherapist in 1985 and commenced her career on a clinical rotation but quickly specialised in paediatrics.
Jo has extensive experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with children and young people who have complex needs. This includes work for the national charity Whizz-Kidz, work in mainstream and specialist schools, preparation and review of EHCPs, attending tribunals when needed, and writing reports to inform this process.
Jo is proficient at assessing, clearly defining and identifying the needs of children and young people with complex difficulties. She is an efficient organiser and co-ordinator of services as a case manager, with regular liaison with other professionals. She is client focused in her work, and always aims to promote independence and enhance quality of life.
As part of her case management role, Jo has set up and managed bespoke packages of care and support on a direct employed or agency basis, around the needs of her individual clients.
In addition, Jo carries out wheelchair assessments, provides wheelchair training and has extensive knowledge and experience of specialist mobility equipment and wheelchair adapted vehicles, as well as hands-on experience of implementing rehabilitation programmes in paediatrics for over 25 years.
